Walk Along The Fish in Bali

We’re back in Bali! And if you’re anything like me, you’re probably up for an exciting adventure. Let me tell you this: Bali is the best place to experience an out-of-the-box adventure. Allow me to introduce underwater sea walking. You’re probably wondering what that is. Maybe you’re way more cultured than I am and just scoffed at the idea that I assume you don’t know. Nevertheless, join me as I tell you all about underwater sea walking and where to experience it in Bali.

What is Underwater Sea Walking?

If you are wondering if it’s possible to reach the bottom of the ocean and walk on the sandy surface, the answer is yes! Sea walking allows you to walk at the bottom of the sea and see all kinds of marine life up close. You don’t have to be a great swimmer to participate in sea walking. All you need is a sense of adventure and some ants in your pants to get you going. This is the best and easiest way to immerse yourself in the underwater world you’ve been missing out on.

Also, if the idea of breathing with oxygen tanks underwater makes you feel a bit claustrophobic, don’t worry! You get an oxygen helmet that allows you to breathe normally and have perfect views of all the sea life. Not only does the helmet provide oxygen but is also heavy which defies gravity and keeps you from floating right back up. Additionally, supervisors wait at the bottom to assist and guide you through the underwater tour. Essentially, you’re not alone. So trust me, because I won’t let you do anything too scary.

Where Can You Go Underwater Walking

Bali is home to Manta rays, Reef sharks, schooling jacks, bump-head parrotfish and the large Great Barracuda. When going on an underwater sea walk, you’ll probably see tuna, Napolean wrasse and Wobbegong shark as well. Although three variations of sharks are found in Bali waters, they’re rather small and not dangerous at all. So don’t panic, Bali waters are quite warm and calm so it’s a perfect place to go for your first underwater sea walk. Let’s have a look at three spots in Indonesia that offers underwater sea walking.

1. Nusa Dua
