The Tsala Treetop Lodge Experience

With its location between the coastal towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, the Tsala Treetop Lodge offers the perfect Western Cape experience. Step into a world of bliss and forest sounds, and be welcomed by a handwritten note with a glass of champagne and gourmet nibbles. The lodge is especially accommodating to honeymoon-goers and even more so to children! They get to stay in their very own treehouse in the indigenous forest, pampered and cared for like royalty. Can you believe it?  Arrange with the hotel for outdoor excursions, dining fiestas, and indulgent pampering sessions.

The Tsala Treetop Lodge experience can be as delightful and restful as it is eventful. It’s mainly up to you! From dining in style to paragliding over the acclaimed garden route, this is a place to experience for yourself. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself marching home telling everyone who’d listen about it! However, don’t make too many people jealous with the stories and the photos. Yet, if they do get jealous (which they probably would), simply book another Tsala Treetop Lodge vacation to get over all the scuffs and puffs of dismay.

Get ready to be enthralled by what the Tsala Treetop Lodge has to offer. Indulge in a whale-watching excursion by getting out on the water with experienced guides whose main aim is to inform you about these magical creatures. Furthermore, during summer, you might even see the rare, gregarious Humpback Dolphins, found only in certain areas of the South African coastline. Then there are the normal bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins to look out for too!

There are guides that can also take you to the Robberg Seal Colony and beyond, just say the word. When going to Tsala Treetop Lodge during winter months, look out for the Southern Right Humpback whales! Those crashing sounds of their giant bodies breaching the ocean surface are indescribable in their ferocity. So, no free passes here. I simply cannot describe those thundering sounds. You just need to hear it for yourself!

You can also take a short trip to Birds of Eden. It’s the Garden Route’s very own free-flight bird sanctuary. Discover the world’s largest two-hectare dome-size bird sanctuary with a rainbow collection of African birds flying freely. Monkeyland is also close by, and there are plenty of activities to try out such as forest walking, swimming with seals, sailing excursions, paddle-boarding, fishing, golf, horseriding, and more!

Hi there! I’m Megan, an absolute lover of words, literature, books, stories, anything that has to do with writing, reading, imagining. Because of my passion, I decided to make writing my life, and with that, I decided to study BA Languages at the University of Pretoria and am happy to report that I made my dream come true by graduating and becoming a travel writer. During my final year I wrote for my campus newspaper, the PDBY, where I learned to trust my writing voice. Now, as I sit here writing my petit little bio, I feel more in love with writing than I’ve ever been. Turns out, like much of my personality, my writing can equally showcase both the calm and put-together, as well as the crazy.
