Parks

A park is an area of natural, semi-natural or planted space set aside for human enjoyment and recreation or for the protection of wildlife or natural habitats. Urban parks are green spaces set aside for recreation inside towns and cities. Parks play a crucial role in communities because they are spaces to play, picnic, explore and build memories. Most people recognize the recreational values that parks provide, but there are many other reasons that parks are important. There is also lots of nature around, such as flowers, animals, trees, and much more. It is mostly used for recreational activities such as walking, exercising, cycling, and playing. Visitors can use them for hiking or taking walks or bring their bikes for some added exercise. If your park allows animals, visitors can bring their dogs, so their pets can get exercise and enjoy the outdoors as well. Also, connecting children with nature is important to their mental, physical, and emotional development. Children who spend time outdoors like in parks do better in science, get more physical exercise and grow up to be environmental stewards. The name park came from the Old French word parc meaning “enclosed wood or heathland used as a game preserve”. Recreational Park means a park which, without limiting the generality thereof, also contains facilities for cultural, leisure, sports or recreational activities.
