Road trips are exciting because they give you total control over your travel itineraries. Anywhere your car can go, you can go. Along with everything you can fit in the trunk. You are free to let all of your expectations for life fade away and simply enjoy the time since you have nowhere you need to be. You can stray, become lost, show vulnerability, and interact with everything around you. You can drive through the desert, the coast, the mountains, or all three! The only restriction on your trip is your imagination.
You are free to stay wherever for as little or as long as you like. When you discover a new location, you can take a detour there or just move on from a place that doesn’t tickle your fancy. Road trips allow you to interact with the surroundings and locals wherever you go.
You get to see things and talk to people that you wouldn’t if you were in an aeroplane flying hundreds of kilometres above them. A road trip is indeed a wellness treat!
